How to Draw an Ohio State Sign
There's no better way to show your enthusiasm and
support for your favorite Ohio State Buckeyes sports team than through
holding an Ohio State sign at a game. This makes a great addition
regardless of the team, whether it be for their championship-winning
basketball team, football team or any other team. Drawing an Ohio State
sign is pretty simple if you follow a few key steps and have the right
supplies on hand to do it plus 10 to 15 minutes to spare.
Draw a large block letter "S" using a thick marker so that the outer
four corners as well as the outer two corners of the middle portion of
the "S" are small flat sides instead of rounded corners.
Repeat the same same style of lettering for the rest of the words
"OHIO STATE" working your way out from the central "S." Each letter
should be capitalized, and the left outer "O" and right outer "E" should
be larger then the letters between them and the capital "S" at the
center. The letters should form the appearance of an arc that rises from
the sides and peaks at the central "S" with the outer letters that are
slightly larger sticking out beyond the bottom of the arc.
Draw the outline of the large, octagon-shaped capital "O" behind the
words "OHIO STATE." Use a thick gray marker to draw the outline of the
"O." Instead of the gray lines crossing through the words "OHIO STATE,"
draw the gray lines so that they go above the top of the arching word
and out, ending above the letters at each end. The lower portion of the
outline of the "O" should have gray lines that head out along the lower
portion of the arched words ending just before the letters at the end
which should stick out and block the lines from going further.
